A buyer's guide to the granite colors you'll see in our San Jose showroom. Every slab is one of a kind — visit us to view current stock and hand-select yours.

Black Galaxy

A midnight-black granite flecked with countless tiny copper-gold specks that catch the light like a star field. Black Galaxy brings bold drama to kitchen islands, bar tops, and modern monochrome designs.

Absolute Black

Uniform deep-black granite with an even, consistent grain and a mirror-like polish. Absolute Black is the go-to for sleek contemporary kitchens, minimalist bathrooms, and sharp contrast against white cabinetry.

Kashmir White

A warm white granite with intricate speckles of grey, brown, and garnet throughout. Kashmir White brightens traditional and transitional kitchens while hiding everyday crumbs and smudges better than pure solid surfaces.

Colonial White

A soft, creamy white granite with delicate grey mineral deposits and subtle burgundy flecks. Colonial White brings a light, airy feel to kitchens without demanding the high-maintenance routine of marble.

Blue Pearl

A Norwegian granite in silvery-blue tones with shimmering, iridescent quartz flecks that seem to glow under kitchen lighting. Blue Pearl is a luxury statement slab for islands, vanity tops, and feature surfaces.

Baltic Brown

A warm-toned Finnish granite with rich browns, tans, and black patterning in large circular formations. Baltic Brown pairs beautifully with cream and wood cabinetry for a cozy, grounded kitchen aesthetic.

Granite FAQsGranite FAQs

Where can I buy granite slabs in San Jose?

Bay Stone Depot at 495 East Brokaw Road, Suite F, San Jose, CA 95112 stocks hundreds of in-house granite slabs in a wide range of colors, patterns, and finishes. You can hand-select the exact full slab for your kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities, outdoor kitchens, or any granite project. Our showroom is open Monday–Friday 8:30 AM–5:30 PM and Saturday 10:00 AM–4:00 PM.

Is granite good for kitchen countertops?

Yes — granite is one of the most durable, heat-resistant natural stones available for kitchen countertops. It handles hot pots and pans directly on the surface without scorching, resists scratches, and with proper sealing stands up to daily cooking, spills, and heavy use. Granite is harder than marble and far less likely to etch from acidic foods, making it an excellent choice for busy home kitchens and high-traffic culinary spaces.

How often should granite be sealed?

Most granite countertops benefit from sealing every 1–3 years depending on the stone's porosity and how heavily the surface is used. A simple water-bead test tells you when it is time: pour a few drops of water on the granite — if the water beads up, the seal is intact; if the water soaks in and darkens the stone within 10–15 minutes, it is time to re-seal. We stock professional-grade sealers and our care guide walks you through the process step by step.

What granite colors do you carry?

Our San Jose showroom carries a large rotating selection including Black Galaxy (midnight black with gold flecks), Absolute Black (uniform deep black), Kashmir White (white with grey and burgundy speckles), Colonial White (soft cream with grey mineral deposits), Blue Pearl (silvery-blue with iridescent flecks), Baltic Brown (warm brown with black and tan patterning), and many more. Availability varies because we stock full slabs — call (408) 441-1114 or visit in person to see our current inventory.

Do you offer granite fabrication and installation?

Yes. Our fabrication team cuts, shapes, polishes, and installs granite from the slab you choose into finished countertops, islands, vanities, fireplace surrounds, and other custom surfaces. We handle the full process — from slab selection through templating, fabrication, and professional installation — all from our San Jose facility on East Brokaw Road. Visit our fabrication page or call (408) 441-1114 for a quote.
