Calacatta marble is quarried exclusively from the Apuan Alps in Carrara, Italy, and is prized for its striking bold veining set against a luminous white background. Unlike its more common cousin Carrara, Calacatta features thicker, more dramatic veins in warm gold, grey, and sometimes taupe tones. Its relative scarcity and unmistakable presence make it the marble of choice for luxury kitchens, master baths, and statement feature walls.
